Today is your last chance to submit a story to the Scottish Book Trust’s “Journeys” project. For the past couple of months they have invited people from all walks of Scottish life to submit up to 1000 words about a “journey” – physical or emotional. Their favourites will be published in a collection to be launched during Book Week Scotland (23rd-29th November) just as the ‘Stories from Home’ book was last year.
My contribution to the project is called ‘Pommes De Terre’ recounting my adventures on a family holiday to Paris in the summer of 1985. It’s got it all from car sickness to the Pan-European language barrier.
